level of commitment for years and are encouraged to continue
to contribute monthly as they are able.
Giving to the Leadership Partners program can be done through
any of the above methods of giving.
Personal Property
There are many benefits to this form of giving. These gifts
can include but are not limited to vehicles, jewelry, antiques,
books etc. New Hope Christian College carefully evaluates each
potential gift to ensure that it will enhance the College's
mission.
Real Estate
In addition to generously supporting the ministry of NHCC,
there are a number of potential personal tax benefits to
making a donation of appreciated real property. To explore
these benefits please consult your attorney or tax advisor
before contacting the NHCC Business Services office at 541-485-1780
or by e-mail, davidbrink@newhope.edu
Planned Gifts
A planned gift can greatly contribute to New Hope Christian College's
future income and development and can benefit the donor
as well.
By remembering New Hope Christian College in your will, you can
ensure your financial resources will be of lasting, earthly
value to the students of New Hope Christian College and to the
spreading of the gospel.
Your bequest will allow you to take assets when they are
no longer needed, remove them from your taxable estate and
create a legacy to support NHCC.
A bequest may be unrestricted - that is, used for general
purposes as deemed necessary by the College - or it can
be designated for a particular use. Bequests can take one
of several forms:
For a specific amount of cash (for example, a bequest
of $50,000) or specific asset (for example, a life insurance
policy or retirement plan).
A percentage of one's estate (for example, 20% of one's
estate after expenses and taxes are paid).
A residual bequest (for example, whatever remains after
family members or friends are remembered through specific
amounts).
A contingent bequest (for example, leaving funds if
the donor survives other beneficiaries).
A bequest of creating a trust (for example, setting
up a trust upon death that will pay out to beneficiaries
for a period of time with the remainder to Eugene Bible
College).
It is important to contact an attorney to establish an
estate plan. If you already have a plan in place, please
review it on regular basis.
